Since the inception of this photography venture, I just really didn't have much of an interest in "boudoir" photography. Or, moreso, I was scared of it. I was scared of either creating images that were too cheesy or too trashy - you've seen 'em!
Mandy contacted me a few months before her wedding, looking for a boudoir photographer, in order to give the images to her soon-to-be-husband on their wedding day. I explained that I just didn't think I was the person for the job and referred her to a few photographers who I thought did nice jobs.
I'm not sure how I got talked into it, honestly, but next thing I know, I was in my car on the way to the Magnolia Hotel in downtown Omaha to photograph Mandy.
Here is what she had to say about her experience:
I knew from the moment I said, “Yes,” that I wanted something personal, unique and timeless to give my husband on our wedding day. I compared every possible boudoir photographer in town, each time coming to the conclusion that something was missing. On a whim, I contacted Jennie Davis (jennied photography) and asked if she would be interested in doing a special project.
What could have been a very awkward and uncomfortable experience turned out to be one of the most rewarding and remarkable experiences I’ve had. Jennie’s talent, professionalism and enthusiasm immediately put me at ease and we had a great shoot: laughing, listening to music and creating one of my husband’s favorite memories! Upon review of my session it was easy to pinpoint the difference between others' boudoir and jennie's - integrity!
